Online Marketing and Social Media Manager

Marketing: Medellin, Colombia
Reports to: Managing Director

The Online Marketing and Social Media Manager works with VDL's Corporate Marketing team as a marketing partner, helping to develop and execute the property’s sales and marketing program, with a focus in Online and Social Media (SEA, SEO and SMM).

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the weeky coordination and management of marketing activities, including:

  • Market research, insights, and input into strategic planning
  • SEA and SEO
  • Basic presentation development
  • Onsite support and coordination of corporate-led events
  • Managing photography and videography for the property
  • Social media management (SMM)
  • Additional marketing duties as needed

In partnering with the sales team, responsibilities include:

  • Work with the sales team with developing engagement and follow-through strategies
  • Oversee the Online Sales Tool presentation development and asset collection
  • Work with sales team on visibility to CRM systems and ongoing communication between the sales team and prospects

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business and marketing preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in marketing, representing high-end luxury properties or tourism industry. Experience partnering and/or working with a Sales teams a plus
  • Demonstration of work success in a client-service / customer service environment
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, InCopy) as well as Apple products and services
  • Track record of producing and presentation of marketing assets in a fast-paced and agile environment
